Music in the mountains.

Strings Music Festival brings high-quality classical and contemporary music to the Colorado mountain community. Starting as a seasonal music festival more than 30 years ago, Strings has grown into a year-round, iconic music-focused entity. The festival offers an incredible array of concert experiences in their intimate venue at the base of Steamboat Springs’ beautiful ski mountain—along with innovative and inspirational music programs for schools, community organizations, and the general public.

A new season, a new look.

We have played an integral part in the brand development of Strings Music Festival for more than 30 years. Each season, Strings debuts a new brand look, and we have been the driving (and designing) force behind the process, season after season. The primary challenge (and it’s one we relish every year) is to stay true to the Strings legacy brand, all while launching something interesting, engaging, and different each year.

It all starts with the program.

A key part of developing a seasonal brand look each year is carrying the design through all of the different elements that help announce, market, educate, and sell a season of incredible performances and programs. The primary piece of collateral, and the piece from which all other designed outreach radiates, is the Seasonal Program Guide—a massive design, layout, and print project all handled by our in-house creative team. It’s a beautifully detailed volume worthy of a prime spot on the coffee table.

04.

Creative in harmony.

As one would expect, year-round music programming and music-related initiatives require collaboration, and a lot of moving parts. Building strategic creative—while also being flexible, nimble, and responsive to opportunities throughout a season of music and events—is essential. Whether it’s digital banners, print, or at-event collateral, we’re always creating with a flexible brand approach in mind, like the campaign for the 2023 season pictured below.
